Solis Finance is a digital-only bank aiming to disrupt the traditional banking sector. The brand identity needed to balance two conflicting concepts: "Bank-Level Trust" and "Startup Innovation". The goal was to make finance feel less like a chore and more like an empowering daily tool.
Most fintech brands in the market were using the same "Corporate Blue" or "Flat Illustration" style, making them look like clones of each other. Solis needed to stand out on a crowded mobile home screen while still appearing secure enough for users to trust them with their life savings.
I created the "Vibrant Security" brand concept.
Color Strategy: A base of Deep Navy (for security) accented by "Solar Yellow" and "Electric Violet" (for innovation and energy).
Logo Design: A geometric sun icon that also resembles a shield, symbolizing both growth and protection.
Photography Style: Using high-energy, candid photos of real business owners in their workspaces rather than staged "corporate" office shots.
Neon-Gradient Debit Cards: Designing physical cards with vertical layouts and minimalist matte finishes that users are proud to pull out of their wallets.
Iconography Set: 50+ custom-designed icons for different spending categories (Food, Tech, Travel) to be used in the mobile app.
Brand Voice Guidelines: A guide on how to communicate complex financial terms in plain, friendly language.
Investor Pitch Deck: A professionally designed presentation template used to successfully close their Series A funding round.
The Solis rebrand was a key factor in their successful $10M Series A funding. The brand's social media following grew by 200% in the first week of the launch, and the physical card designs became a "viral" hit on lifestyle blogs, significantly reducing their user acquisition costs.
